Critical Review of the Wow Green Compensation Plan
Written by Roger Silen on September 27th, 2009As usual, the Wow Green compensation plan shows that the same old ideas are just plain too profitable to disappear. Just like the programs you might recall from the 1970′s, the plan is all about talking other people into selling what you’re selling.
Yes, you heard right: the Wow Green compensation plan is about going out and creating your own competition. Leaving aside the question of why exactly you would do that, let’s ask the more important question: why does the Wow Green compensation plan expect you to do that?
It’s not hard to understand why. When you think about it, Wow Green doesn’t want to do all the work – or spend all the money – to promote their own brand. They want people like you to do it. So their compensation plan, radical as it may seem, encourages you to go out and create more people to put the Wow Green name in front of even more people.
Let’s consider that for a little while. The Wow Green compensation plan doesn’t really compensate that heavily, does it? Definitely a lot less than you’d pay for market saturation from a major advertising firm – I mean, they only pay out a percentage of your sales. They don’t need to pay you anything until you sell some of their products, and even then, they’re paying you a lot less than the sale price.
Isn’t that a fantastic idea? The Wow Green compensation plan actually expects YOU to pay for THEIR advertising, and go out looking for more people to do the same. You get to spend all the money and do all the work! That’s a fantastic idea!
Well, unless you’re… you. Then it’s a pretty bad idea. Why would you do such a thing? Success doesn’t come from promoting someone else’s brand. You’d end up watching your margins shrink and your profits disappear, while their brand grew ever stronger riding on the shoulders of a small army – all fighting tooth and nail to keep their piece of a shrinking pie. The Wow Green compensation plan conveniently ensures that you do all the work and take all the risk, until you go out of business.
So instead of using the Wow Green compensation plan that way, why not concentrate your effort on promoting yourself? It’s no more difficult, than promoting Wow Green, and the benefit is actually something you can keep. When eco-friendly cleaners lose their shine… and their profit margin… you can keep the benefit you’ve generated for your business, and use it to promote the next big thing.
You can feel good about promoting yourself. It’s the essential ingredient for a lifelong business – you need to promote and market yourself, not someone else, because using your time and money to promote other people’s companies is simply not how you survive in this industry. Put that effort into your own personal brand, and you’ll weather every fad that declines, building a business that truly lasts.
