FOUNDATION of MONAVIE

Mona Vie is a home business beverage company that was launched in 2005 by Monarch Health Sciences. The company is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mona Vie has expanded around the world (North America, Japan, Israel, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia) and established itself as one of the premiere network marketing beverage companies in history. Mona Vie does over $849 million in sales annually.

Mona Vie CEO, Founder, and BYU graduate, Dallin Larsen was previously a Senior Executive with an MLM company that sold a similar juice product prior to being shut down by the FDA for illegal business practices. As most companies grow litigation just comes with the territory. Mona Vie is no stranger to lawsuits and has survived several including trademark infringement, Oprah, and Dr. Mehmet OZ. MonaVie was developed by Ralph E. Carson who is now Mona Vie’s Chief Science Officer.

Mona Vie has 450 employees and owns a charitable foundation called the “MORE Project.” Charity is always a nice component to any successful business.

PRODUCT REVIEW

MonaVie is a blend of Brazilian acai berry and 18 other fruits wellness drink. The drink is not approved by the FDA but the members in Mona Vie claim many benefits of health from consumption of the beverage.

the company has several products to choose from including: MonaVie Original Blend, MonaVie Original Gel Packs, MonaVie Kosher Blend, MonaVie Active Blend, MonaVie Active Gel Packs, MonaVie Pulse Blend, MonaVie Pulse Gel Packs, MonaVie (M)mn Blend, EMV

COMPENSATION PLAN

According to companyExecutive VP Henry Marsh, in 2008 earnings disclosure stated that 14% of Mona Vie members made a profit. Mona Vie products are sold and distributed by non-employee distributors who are eligible to receive commissions based on product sales. These commissions can lead to a residual income.

Individual distributors are taught to build their own networks by recruiting new distributors to sell the company’s products (referred to in multilevel marketing language as a “downline”); the recruiter is then qualified to receive additional pay based on sales by their downlines. The compensation plan is built upon the binary 2 team structure which is designed to promote people working together.

BOTTOM LINE ON MONA VIE

Mona Vie has weathered the storm of criticism, litigation, and false claims rather nicely. I DO NOT think Mona Vie is a scam. It appears to be on solid ground and a genuine opportunity to share a business based on the benefits of the Brazilian Acai Berry.
