The 6 Things To Look For When Selecting An MLM Program
Written by Jamie W Brown on January 20th, 2011How do you sift through all the mlm programs to determine the best one?
While everyone it seems like these days is jumping into network marketing, not everyone is making money and you need to make sure you know who you can trust. There are tons of companies on the market, but if you choose the wrong one, it can ruin your experience quick and turn you off to mlm.
When you are researching a program, make sure you don’t rush into anything. The last thing you want to do is jump around from company to company, so make sure you get it right.
So, in light of that, I’m going to help steer you in the right direction and help you avoid some common mistakes:
What is the product or service you are going to be investing your life it? I know that sounds serious, but it should. Before you attach your name to anything, you need to know what you are getting into. If this is a product that you know it will be a stretch for you to promote, then stop right now and look for something else.
What kind of compensation plan do they offer? This is something that you must know because at some level when you are recruiting people, they will want to know how they are going to make money.
What’s the start up cost? If it’s too high and the monthly is set up to where you need to take a small loan out, then you have minimized your market.
Has this particular company been around for some time, or is it a fly by night company? Most top mlm companies have been around for at least 5 years and those are the ones that have survived the testings.
Does the company offer training for you and your recruits? This is wildly important as you can not spend all your time training other people who will be joining you in this venture. If the company is really looking out for you, then they will help you by offering professional training so you can succeed.
The final thing you need is a mentor. Someone who will walk you through the exact process that will get you into profit your first 30 days. As a matter of fact, I always recommend people get trained first before jumping into a company. Too many people don’t have a clue as to how they must “market” themselves and fail miserably.
With all the mlm programs out there, don’t fall into the trap that every thing you sign on with is going to work. This industry takes a lot of heart and hard work and it’s going to take time. Make up your mind right now to weather the storm and persevere.
