Network Marketing is a fun industry, but without a solid company to promote, you’re not going to make much money. Most people get involved in the industry in the hope that they will make money almost overnight. The reality is that it takes months of work in order to see results in this industry.

Well, several things make a company great. In Network Marketing, it’s usually the compensation plan, product and the leadership within the company. Some will argue that the product and compensation plan is more important than the leadership. Some will say they don’t even matter.

What matters the most is the leadership and sharing a clear vision with your company. As long as your company has a clear vision of where they are heading, what they will be doing and how they are going to help their reps. You really don’t have to worry about any of the other two things.

So products, what should you look for in a Network Marketing product? You should always look for something that is of bigger value than the cost. If you’re paying $100 a month for a bottle of juice and the comp plan sucks, look elsewhere. If your company has a tangible product then you’re going to have a much easier time sponsor people. As long as you have a product that appeals to the masses, you should be fine.

Lastly, you need to join a company with a great compensation plan. The truth is, as long as the compensation pays out a substantial amount of income, people will join. You should look for a compensation plan which pays out long term residual income as well as upfront money when you recruit new distributors. People don’t do business with companies, they do business with people. That is why your leadership and vision is far more important than any product or compensation plan.
